I like to draw, and I think I’m decent at it, but I would never call myself an artist. I like to take pictures, but I’d never consider myself a photographer. Luckily Adobe® Photoshop® can help anyone add that little something extra that most photos need to really stand out.
I’ve compiled a short list here of the Photoshop tutorial websites that I read on a regular basis. But before you move on to read them, remember according to Adobe® “photoshopping” is NOT a word.
Tutorial Sites:
- EarthBound Light: While the site itself isn’t all that visually interesting, the tips and tricks they have are great. I do wish they would incorporate a few more images in their posts as guides though.
- Layers Magazine: This site has a huge list of great tutorials. They don’t just cover Photoshop, but all the Adobe® Creative Suite
products.
- Photoshop® CS3 Killer Tips: These guys have a lot of great information on how to manipulate your photos, adjust your default settings and, well, do anything you need to with you images.
- Good-Tutorials: A listing site that plugs the best tutorials you can find on the web for just about anything. Their heavier in Photoshop® tutorials than anything else, but I would recommend adding hem to your RSS reader to keep up on what’s going on for all the stuff they have.
- Pixel 2 Life: Another listing site, this one is heavier in other areas, but you can still find some great Photoshop® tutorials.
- PSDtuts: By far one of my favorite sites on the web today. (Collis Ta’eed is a genius.) Their tutorials are heavy on images and descriptions of what to do, where, and how to do it. I must add for the RSS reader.
Well, those are my favorites today, though I’ll probably add a few more to the old Google Reader on a regular basis.
